Addressing the Crisis of Hunger

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We invite you to pause and consider a reality that is often unseen: genuine hunger affecting members of our own community—a friend, family member, or neighbor. Since 1986, the simple, singular mission of Someone Cares has been to confront this reality head-on.

We proudly serve a hot, nutritional meal to over 300 guests per day, seven days a week, striving to eliminate hunger in Orange County. In these challenging times, many are living on fixed incomes or facing unemployment, and they desperately need our help now more than ever.

Join us as we strive to make this community a better place for all!

More Than Just a Meal

Did you know that your support enables us to provide far more than just food? Last year, your generosity allowed us to achieve significant impact:

  • Over 300,000 meals served to anyone hungry or at risk. Tragically, in Orange County, a shocking 1 in 5 children goes hungry each night, and we are able to provide each meal for a mere $1.33.
  • We offer referrals to a variety of essential safety-net services, including employment training, emergency shelter, health care, and mental health resources. Our proven success helps guests attain and maintain self-sufficiency.
  • We run an after-school tutoring program in partnership with Newport-Mesa Unified School District. We are profoundly proud to report a 100% success rate to date for all children attending, helping them build brighter futures.

We deeply believe that you are directly responsible for many of the success stories that flourish with our assistance, and we are deeply thankful for your ongoing support.

Your Vital Financial Gift

With this vital work in mind, we sincerely ask you to consider making a financial gift today. Your contribution will directly support our hunger relief program, after-school tutoring program, family food distribution programs, and the many vital services we provide folks who come to us in their time of need. Whether your gift is large or small, please know that we are committed to maximizing its impact in the most prudent and efficient manner.

All financial donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive a donation receipt upon request. You have two easy options for donating:

  • Donate online through our website.
  • Mail us a check made out to Someone Cares, earmarking it as a charitable donation, to the following address: Someone Cares, P.O. Box 11267, Costa Mesa, CA 92627

Thank you for your invaluable support. We are now humbly asking if you can please help us again. We truly do need your assistance today to continue this mission.

Sincerely,

Dr. Adam Ereth (Executive Director)
